Отмечен приоритет российских ученых. Первая в мире работа “О применении метода двумерной эхоспондилографии для определения ориентиров при осуществлении люмбальной пункции” была опубликована в отечественной научной печати в 1971 г. Люмбальная пункция под контролем ультразвука играет важную роль при лечебных (региональная анестезия, введение любых лекарственных веществ в спинномозговой канал) и диагностических (получение материала для цитологического исследования) манипуляциях.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>Short history of spine ultrasound and use of ultrasound guided lumbar puncture in clinical practice are presented in the article. It is shown priority of Russian scientists in method invention. First study (Application of the method of two-dimensional echospondylography for determining landmarks in lumbar punctures) was published in 1971 in Russia.
