Вслед за обнаружением миксомы сердца обычно следует ее хирургическое удаление для того, чтобы избежать эмболических осложнений. В связи с этим сообщений о документированном наблюдении за ростом миксом в литературе немного. В статье представлено наблюдение за пациентом с миксомой левого предсердия, которая на протяжении 2 лет и 5 мес выросла до гигантских размеров с развитием обструкции левого атриовентрикулярного отверстия и была успешно удалена хирургически.
